There are many organization that Richard Moody and IamMoody believe in but, Dress For Success is near the top of the list.  Dress For Success is a worldwide non-profit organizations that helps low income with interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development. A step over looked by some.

In 2007 Richard was recognized by Dress For Success as on honoree for his contributions with Airforce Nutrisoda.  Since that time he and his friends have helped other locally in educating others about the mission and making a difference with out a recognized chapter.

On Monday, November 16th Minneapolis gets it official chapter.   We invite you to join us in the Grand Opening celebration that starts at 11:00AM.  Speakers include Margaret Anderson Kelliher, Jeri Quest, and Gloria Perez.

Moody Is Ready – Opportunity Calling

Over the summer Richard Moody was contacted about a local group of individuals putting together a reality show based on the growing challenges people are having finding work.

The idea was simple, find great people that could use the help of a recruiter, resume writer, image/communications consultant and stylist.  Those experts reinvent and prepare job seekers for the perfect career opportunity.

The pilot has been shot and the team could not be more excited. The cast features Jordana Green, Roshini Rajkumar, Suzanne Green, and is the amazing idea of Miquel Mcmoore. These are all the best in the city at what they do. When you bring in an ace producer like Joel Patterson you know it’s meant to happen. Don’t forget to look for great local businesses like Medtronic, Elsworth, kpcompanies, IamMoody.com, and OM restaurant.

Moody On Fox 9 News @ Obama Rally

We recently got our hands on the footage of Richard Moody on Fox 9 News at the Obama Healthcare Rally that took place on September 12th, 2009.  You don’t have to look hard to see him.

Richard knows that Obama speaks the truth.  We think there is a good chance Obama heard Moody that day.

Nov 4th – Pink Party For A Purpose

Delta Minneapolis Base Employees, View Restaurant, & IamMoody are hosting a Pink Party.  The party is a fundraiser for Delta  Employees Tee Simmons & Heidi Andersen.

Tee has been diagnosed with Brain Cancer the kind similar to Ted Kennedy.  Heidi has Breast Cancer.  You can send messages of love and support to Tee and Heidi to their home address (posted at MSP In-Flight) or to Tee via CaringBridge.org.

This is an event organized by friends to make a difference.  The View Restaurant has generously donated the space, and will offer appetizers and drink specials.

Come hang out with good people for a good cause. Share with friends and family so together we can make a difference.

View Blood – Give Blood & Party

Have you seen that Vampire TV Show “True Blood” yet?  It’s this amazing HBO show about the co-existence of vampires and humans and won several awards, including one Golden Globe and an Emmy.

In the spirit of Halloween View Restaurant, Sash Salon, and Calhoun Beach Club have partnered up with Memorial Blood Centers for two unique events.

First part will be during the day on Saturday, October 24th from 11 am – 3 pm where a memorial blood center “Blood Mobile” will be at the calhoun beach club collecting blood donations.  All who give blood will receive a small gift card to view and free admission for the TRUE BLOOD party.  Look for the details on how to sign up for donations.

The second part is a  Vampire themed party that night on Saturday, October 24th at 9 pm to celebrate blood donation. The View will be hosting the party and Sash Salon will have hair and make up 15 models models to look like the TV series TRUE BLOOD.

The need for blood donors is really high right now.  If you give regularly.  Thank you.  If you have never given before please considered it.  You will help someone.

Garage/Antique Sale (Care Fund Kick off) November 4-5, 2009 –7:00 AM- 7:30 PM

Attention all Garage Sale and Antique enthusiasts: Fall is the perfect time to clean out your attics and closets while contributing to a great cause. Bring in your garage sale items, heirloom or rare pieces. We are collaborating with the Delta People Care Funds on November 4-5, 2009 at MSP In-Flight. The Delta People Care Funds consists of a Care Fund and a Scholarship Fund. The Care Fund provides financial assistance to employees, retirees, and survivors experiencing unforeseen financial hardships. The Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to employees and dependents. It is entirely funded and managed by Delta employees for Delta employees – active or retired. Drop off any items you would like to donate to Janet Jorgenson at MSP In-Flight.

Also, plan to stop by the Care Fund Kick off for refreshments and to learn more about how you can invest in Delta people with a small payroll deduction. Details about the Delta People Care Funds can be found at Deltanet under Employee Information.

Lastly, we will be recycling used cell phones. You may drop them off in our cell phone recycling box available at MSP In-Flight. All proceeds will go to the Delta People Care Funds.
