Sep 19th – Rock the Pink

Cancer is a disease that plagues over a half-million women each year. Four of those women will be honored at the Rock the Pink fundraiser event; Northwest-Delta flight attendants with breast and lung cancer.

On Sept 19, 2010 IamMoody and Uptown Drink bring you Rock the Pink; a fundraising event that is open to the public. Cancer treatments are painful and expensive, this is your chance to dig deep and open your hearts and help those who need it. Go to Uptown Drink in Minneapolis, MN from 2:00pm – 7:00pm. There is no cover charge to attend and there is a $10 all you can eat buffet with food provided by Uptown Drink and Fusion. 20% of all food and beverage sales will go directly to these four wonderful women.

A silent auction will be available from 2:00pm – 6:30pm. Winners will be announced at 7:00pm. Only cash and checks will be accepted; receipts available upon request. All item winner’s will be posted on IamMoody.com. 100% of silent auction proceeds will be divided equally between the four women.


One of these items that will be at this amazing silent auction will be “The Cathedral” by James Jenson. This 20×20 mixed media work of art is being donated by Gallerie Zueger and Aspen Grove Fine Arts with a retail value of $1,900.00.

Joynoelle is the signature line of Minneapolis based designer, Joy Teiken. From it’s inception in 2000, Joynoelle has taken inspiration from unique fabrics and the women who wear them. From her first design, a beret for her mother who was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, Joy has used fashion to capture and express women’s individual beauty.

On Sept 23, 2010, Joynoelle will unveil the brand new 2011 Collection. The Partners 4 Design 9th Floor Penthouse at International Market Square will be the place to be to see the newest styles from Joynoelle. Every guest will enjoy some delicious appetizers catered by SEVEN Steakhouse | Sushi | Ultralounge | Skybar, gifts bags with some terrific items, signature Joytini cocktails and booty shaking tracks from DJ Shiek.

The first show will be from 6:00pm – 7:00pm and will be $50.00.

The second show will be from 8:00pm – 10:00pm and will be $75.00. Attendees of the second show get a bonus in the form of an opportunity to participate in a meet and greet with Joy Teiken. Additionally the bar will be extended until 10pm so guests can enjoy the after party.

Sep 29th – Saint Paul Capital Collective

The Saint Paul Capital Collective is coming to the Landmark Center in downtown Saint Paul, MN on Sep 29, 2010.

The Saint Paul Capital Collective will showcase the best that Minnesota’s capital city has to offer to the world of fashion and fund-raising.

This amazing event will showcase a fashion show with styles from Karma, Flirt Boutique, BlackBlue, Lula and Allee MetroChic. Tickets for this event will be $40 and limited to 250 people.

Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:30.

Proceeds from the Saint Paul Capital Collective will benefit the CapitolRiver Council and Capital City Partnership. These two groups advocate on behalf of all members in the downtown community to ensure citizen participation in efforts to support a safe, clean, vibrant neighborhood and a healthy economic community. CapitolRiver Council – District 17 is one of the 17 district councils for the City of St. Paul. The CapitolRiver Council operates as a private, 501(c)3  non-profit organization engaging residents, business owners and property owners in issues and projects in downtown St. Paul. Through a network of volunteer-based committees and a 35-member elected board, the CapitolRiver Council works to make downtown a better place to live, work and visit. From policy development to the sponsorship of community events to design review of new projects, the CapitolRiver Council provides venues for fruitful citizen participation that lead to the continued physical revitalization and economic growth of this historic downtown.
