Revolutionizing Access

June 13, 2011 by IamMoody

Revolutionizing Access
Revolutionizing access to theater — that’s the way Mixed Blood intends to build a truly inclusive, global audience. And that’s why we’re launching Radical Hospitality,providing no-cost access to mainstage productions for all audience members beginning with the 2011-12 season.

As an audience member, you can expect no change in the high quality, provocative and predictably unpredictable theater that Mixed Blood has offered for 35 years! But beginning in 2011-12, there will be two ways to see a performance:

Guaranteed admission: Audience members who want to guarantee entry can do so for a fee paid in advance online, either for a single performance or a season pass. Theater seating remains open (no assigned seats). Click here to order your pass and for more information about pass options.

First come, first served admission: Register online or in the lobby in advance of a performance (recommended 30 minutes), then come to the theater for no-cost admission on a first come, first served basis. More info here.

Join us for the 2011-12 Mainstage Season!

NEIGHBORS

Shockingly subversive and wickedly hilarious, Neighbors comments on black-and-whiteness in America with fearless intelligence.

CENTER OF THE MARGINS

Content and themes about disability, central characters with disabilities, and roles for actors with disabilities — Mixed Blood’s fall festival offers it all in a line-up of three disparate but complementary plays that promise to excite, incite and delight.

CRASHING THE PARTY

Sally Wingert plays the matriarch of a multi-generational family in this farcical world premiere about the pursuit of the American dream.

LEARN TO BE LATINA

The politics of ethnic and sexual identity take center stage in this riotous take on cultural appropriation and what makes a pop culture star.
