When it comes to the topic of fundraising for charities, there are so many different facets and variables, but they all have one thing in common: Raising funds for a charitable cause. That is exactly the moniker of what is going on Brea, California currently: Fund raising with food. A gourmet food delivery company called Western Beef & Seafood has procured a monumental and very innovative idea for raising monies to benefit local causes, like the Fullerton Arboretum and the Fullerton Boys and Girls Club; which are both factions of the Fullerton South Rotary Group in Brea. The company president, Andy Diaz, has developed an attainable solution for fund raising with food that he dubs as “hassle-free fundraising programs.”
Essentially, the company offers their food services and concessions at community events that they sponsor, and a portion of all funds earned can be derived for a said charitable organization, based upon them selling food at their concession stands during such events. To raise awareness about this very nifty fund raising with food opportunity, the company has purchased banners for all of the OC Flyer’s minor league baseball team home games in Brea for the forthcoming season—and will also be hosting concession stands that sell their food while informing patrons of the ability to use such high quality foods as a basis to raise funds for any particular charitable event.
The OC Flyers’ season just kicked off officially on June 15th, and Diaz is hoping that by encouraging consumer awareness about his food fundraising options, more people can take part in this wonderful program. The OC Flyers are part of the Golden Baseball League, a minor baseball league. The games are being played this season at the Cal State Fullerton Campus, on Goodwin Field.
