Now, I love, love, love, my Sketcher’s Rocker Bottom shoes. I love to go for walks wearing them. They are comfortable and they actually work. Plus, I get a couple extra inches of height in them, which, I need. I do not wear them when I am going out though, they are for walking only. However, recently I’ve noticed quite a few men wearing these shoes all the time.
I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with wearing the rocker shoes to work if you do a lot of walking. That is if the job force allows for a casual appearance instead of a business formal or even a business casual look. These are not suitable replacements for business or formal shoes under no circumstances. It can even be very beneficial for those men who find that they need to lose some extra weight.
What I am saying is that it is one thing to wear them in private or when doing a lot of walking, but they should not be worn when going out. The Sketcher’s, or any brand for that matter, Rocker Bottom shoes are not appropriate for wearing out and about. It is not acceptable for women, and not acceptable for men.
I’ve mentioned this in passing in my women’s fashion tips, but I think I really need to drive it home for you men, since you are less likely to change your shoes from point A to point B. This means you are more likely to wear the more comfortable shoes despite how they look. Well, for the sake of sanity and appearance, please, please do not wear the rocker shoes out and about. Leave them at home. They are great, for private use only.
