August 20th – Splish Splash Fundraiser

thelink_splishslash09IamMoody is excited to be producing the 1st Annual Splish Splash Fundraiser for The Link.  A charity boat dinner cruse  up and down the Mississippi.

Richard Moody has been helping The Link for years through his Charity Christmas party.  Now IamMoody is taking their need to the next level.

The mission of The Link is to build a supportive community network that links youth and their families to their inner strength through life skills, education, advocacy, permanent housing, and a dynamic network of social services to transform lives.

The Link operates an array of youth programs, all using a holistic, strengths-based approach to help youth achieve increased resiliency, stability, and success. Three major programs include Project Potential, Lindquist Apartments, and The Juvenile Supervision Center,

August 13th – The Lab Theater Event

whenamanlovesadivaThe Lab Theater and IamMoody are joining forces to have a special night out.  “When A Man Loves A Diva” is performing and all the friends are invited out to see this great performance on our local stage.

There will be a pre-show happy hour before to network and meet other fans of theater.  After the show stick around for a meet and greet with the cast.  We may even head out for more drinks and fun after.

Project Diva Wrap Up & Photos

It was a great day to hold a charity Fashion Show for Project Diva at SEVEN.diva091

20 of the best project Diva girls got their runway walk on and showed some of the best in young adult fashions to a great crowd there to support. Dawn was all smiles as the Project Diva ladies did their best for this fun event.

The girls spend considerable time preparing for this moment to show everyone how well poised they could be.  They ask Richard Moody for some additional catwalk strut help.

At the end of the day good money was raised to help the Project Diva mentoring program.  So another great success.

July 27th – 2nd Annual Roseanne Roseannadanna Golf Benefit

IamMoody has been big fans of Gilda’s Club Twin Cites every since helped produce the Gala last year.  They just invited us to their annual golf tournament.  How could we refuse.  If you like to golf or have the ability to financial help support GC we know that you participation will make a difference.

Take a midsummer break and join us for an action packed day at the prestigious Minneapolis Golf Club. It’s your opportunity to have a great time and help us raise funds and support for the first Gilda’s Club “clubhouse” in the Twin Cities.

July 27th at the Beautiful Minneapolis Golf Club

Golfers
The day begins at 11:30 am with registration followed by lunch, silent auction bidding, and a few minutes at the driving range or putting green. Box lunches will be available for late arrivals. Golf will be a best ball format tournament with a prompt 1:00 pm shotgun start. The fun-filled day for golfers will include the opportunity to:

Play 18 Holes of Golf on the classic course designed by Park and Ross
Out-Drive the Celebrities on the first hole hosted by Cities97 very own Brian “BT” Turner
Win a car from Rudy Luther Toyota by making a hole in one on the Minneapolis Golf Club’s spectacular signature 10th hole
Compete for various prizes throughout the day

Golfers and Non-Golfers
At 5:30 non-golfers can join the fun with cocktails and more silent
auction bidding. Dress for the evening is business-casual or
country club-casual, golfers will have locker-room access to freshen
up as they wish.

If you can’t join us for golf, not a problem… You may choose buy a ticket for the evening program only!

Cities 97 morning host Brian “B.T.” Turner and John Sweeney, co-owner of the Brave New John SweeneyWorkshop are emcees for BT Turner Cities 97an evening of inspiration, learning and laughter.

Cocktails will be followed by a wonderful dinner in the ballroom and an evening program that promises to be a special treat. Our emcees will award golf prizes and host the evening’s program where guests will be treated to an updated inside look at the Gilda’s Club Twin Cities story.

And the highlight of the evening,in the spirit of Gilda Radner herself, is a comedy performance by the Twin Cities’ own Brave New Workshop comedy theatre.

Absoult Vodka and Scott Mayer and Mitch Kelly have created an event to find the One Man that best represents Minneapolis.

Don’t confuse this event with a most eligible bachelor contest.  This event evaluates contestants on all around community including work with charity.  The winner gets $1,000 donated to his favorite charity of choice.
