For all extents and purposes there are really three major email providers that have the best free web-based email services in the world. They really are in this order, respectively, from most popular to least popular: Gmail, Yahoo Mail and AOL. However, Google, the purveyor of the very popular and stylish smart phone, Android, for some reason or another never shifted their focus off running the world’s largest search engine, and as a result, even though they had branded one of the most popular smart phones, no one could access their Gmail account from such phones. I find this to be ironic, to say the least.
However, for all of you fashionably fashionable lovers of smart phones – and the way that your fingers look so coy when dancing across the touch screens, web surfing or watching videos and so much more – rejoice, ye smart phone users, rejoice. A few days ago the Gmail Java application was finally unveiled for smart phones, and the good news: Most mobile phones will be able to use this application, even cruddy and subpar ones, such as the RAZR.
So what does this mean? For one, Yahoo Mail is finally going to get some competition in the mobile phone email sector. For two, you will see tons of people using their smart phones to check their email and connect to world, while sipping on a ten dollar cup of coffee at Starbucks. And last, but not least, it’s more than likely Google’s Xmas present to the smart phone addicted world. Long overdue, if you ask me.
I for one still swear by Yahoo Mail. But then again, what the hell do I know.

I know that there are certain situations where you should tip. Places like restaurants where you are getting served by a server who makes far less than minimum wage and requires gratuity to make ends meet. Or venues like a bar, pub or club, where you generally tip a buck per drink, as the bartenders and servers/cocktail waitresses get paid jack at such establishments as well. However, what really grinds my gears are other places, where the employees are compensated at least minimum wage, and they think that they can get more money out of you by placing a tip jar on the counter.
