Designer Men’s Cologne is Part of the Outfit, Guys!

November 5, 2010 by IamMoody

If you are not fond of wearing men’s cologne, allow me to tell you why it’s so fashionably sensible. First and foremost, when it comes to looking your best – guys – we also should want to smell our best. I know that you might be thinking, “Well I put on deodorant after I shower, and I use aftershave, so how do I not already smell my best?” The answer is easy: If you are not wearing designer men’s cologne, then you are not emitting an invigorating and pleasant aroma to those around you. Fashion for men is not only based upon sight, the accessories that you choose to wear or how you put together your outfits – inclusive of the brand names and designs that you choose – but it is also about smells, too.

You might be thinking, “How the hell am I supposed to afford that pricey bottle of designer men’s cologne! Does this blogger have his head up his ass?” Good question. Glad you asked. The reality of today is that you CAN afford nearly any name brand of designer men’s cologne. But, if you are still shopping at local department stores, forget about it! Rather, you are online reading this article right now. I bet you my bottom dollar that you could easily uncover a plethora of some of the most desirable brands of designer men’s colognes online—at web-based discount outlet stores—for vast savings off the otherwise costly retail price tags.

Heck, I was looking around online before composing this blog, and I was finding brands like Hugo Boss for nearly half off the retail price tag. I even found some really well priced gift sets, which will fit nice and snug under the Xmas tree for my brothers – who have an affinity for wearing designer men’s cologne as much as I do. Rather than be strung in by cheap variants, like a five dollar bottle of Axe, make sure to check out the selection online, guys. I am sure that you can easily fit a bottle into your budget. Then you can be rocking the fashion wagon, and smelling as sexy and manly as is possible.

Keeping Cute in Proportion

November 5, 2010 by IamMoody

Girl And HayEvery woman wants to be cute at some point. She wants to feel attractive, beautiful and alluring. Those who say that this is not a priority for them are often deceiving themselves and attempting to deceive others. Women’s clothing is designed to enhance the cute factor. However, sometimes designers go overboard with their creativity.

As with everything, it is important to keep the cuteness levels in proportion to the body. This does not mean that a woman should tone down the use of cute clothing, but rather, watch the size of the “cute” components of an outfit. Bigger is not better when it comes to clothing.

An example of this is the bow. A small bow is cute. A medium sized bow can help to balance a woman if she is bigger in one area than the other. A large bow is not longer cute or attractive in most cases as it can overwhelm the woman and make her look like a present, rather than a woman in a cute outfit.

Felicity

On the flipside of this, the use of accessories that are simply too small for the woman can make her appear even bigger than she ever was. This is where the balance part of the wardrobe must come into play. A woman must balance the size of the cute aspects of an outfit to find what flatters her body. This includes the use of accessories.

Do not assume that just because a designer says it is cute, that it works for your body. Every woman is different and every piece of clothing is designed for a different sized woman. Accepting and embracing your body and adorning it in a way that is flattering are the ultimate way to be fashionable and fabulous.

More Fashion Weight Loss Tips 101: Three Easy Ways to Banish Fats

November 5, 2010 by IamMoody

I am back, and I have some more fashion weight loss tips to offer up to one and all. These are simple things, little changes that you can make with your eating habits that can truly offer you some serious results. They are really easy to do, and if you are serious about obtaining that waistline that you so desire, these changes are a must for all dieters who are seeking to successfully lose weight.

Choose Lower Fat Versions of the Same Foods

The easiest way, perhaps, to really cut down on the fatty foods you are eating can be accomplished by simply buying the same foods in low-fat versions. Many food producers are now making low-fat and light variants of the food products that you have grown to love. By simply changing some items on your grocery shopping list to these foods, you can greatly reduce your intake of fats and calories.

Substitute Fatty Oils and Butters for Healthier Alternatives

We are what we eat and the way we cook our foods reflects that. Instead of using fat loaded butters and cooking oils (like lard; yuck!), opt for oils like virgin olive oil instead. By making simple changes like this, you can greatly reduce the overall fat and calorie content of the foods that you are eating. Additionally, instead of frying foods, broiling them or baking them, try grilling meats, poultry and fish over an open flame. This way much of the fat is zapped by the flames licking at the meats as they cook.

Swap Junk Food and Fast Food for Heartier Fares

Junk food and fast food are some of the worst and fattiest of foods that you can consume. It’s no mystery why they are so bad for us. They are loaded with saturated fats and cholesterol and tend to be very high in calories. If you are trying to lose weight, chances are fair that you already have some undesirable pockets of fat on your body. When you ingest such fatty and calorie-rich foods daily, the first place that the fat train heads is to those areas—where the pointy fat cells mingle with their other fatty friends. Rather, make a wholesome sandwich, or eat cuts of veggies with a low-fat dipping sauce. Or enjoy great meals, like grilled chicken and white rice with a side of veggies.

Subtleness is Best, I Swear!

November 5, 2010 by IamMoody

Beautiful Woman Never am I advocating people attempting to fade into the background. I love the idea of people standing out and being strong. I want everyone to be noticed for their beauty, uniqueness and strengths. I want them to know how to play up their features and show themselves in the best possible way. I also want people to know how to do this effectively, without making they look like clowns.

It can be difficult for some people to believe, but using a subtle approach to some things can be far more effective than using a very harsh or bold approach and can help a person get noticed for his or her own features and beauties. This was discussed a little bit in the use of perfumes and scents, but let me nail it down for you, especially on the use of make-up.

What triggered this need to express the necessities and goodness that is subtlety? Well, a good friend of mine happened to go out to lunch with me recently. She is a beautiful young woman with a lot to offer the world. She just happened to be working to play up each of those features in an extreme manner, calling the image fashion. She bathed in the perfume and looked like she painted on her make-up. With a heavy bow on top, she could have been art, but definitely not fashion. She needed a little education.

Putting On A Good FaceFoundation, eye shadow, blush and lipstick are some of the make-up pieces that the average woman uses to highlight her physical beauty. The foundation works to smooth out the skin, the eye shadow to bring out the eyes, blush to add depth and visual appeal and lipstick to make the lips look fuller. Each of these items, when used properly can give a woman a collected and confident appearance. Used too heavily, or improperly, you risk looking like Bozo the Clown.

Foundation: It is the foundation of make-up. It holds everything in place and evens the skin tone. This product is supposed to be the same color as your natural skin tone, not used to change your skin tone. Applying a foundation that is either too dark or too light will make you look as though you are uneven in your skin color. When looking for a foundation, place a small dab on the back of your hand and rub it in. If it disappears quickly, it is the right color. If not, then don’t buy it. When applying it, make sure to use as little as possible and to blend it in completely so as to avoid the line of foundation that some women have along the jaw and hairlines.

Blue Eyed GirlEye shadow: Different colors can make a person’s eyes appear different than normal. Eye shadow is used to highlight the eyes and make them appear bigger or to deepen the shade of the eyes. It really can be just about any color imaginable, although the idea of using a subtle color helps to make the look appear more natural. Use the eye shadow color only on the eye lids, although highlights can go in the corner of the eye to the eye brow. Do not take the color across the bridge of the nose to the other eye. This looks like a mask and detracts from the eyes themselves.

Woman Applying Make-Up - Soft FocusBlush: Here is where a lot of people go wrong with their make up. Remember that blush is supposed to appear natural. Use a pale shade of pink, not a bright one, and use a small amount of that blush. When applying it, smile and brush the blush on the apples of your cheeks. This is the area that is most evident when you smile. Go in a slight circular motion with a large bristled brush and do not go heavily. A slight blush will go a long ways, especially since you will get color in that area when you smile or do actually blush.

Lipstick: This is the final area where a lot of women seem to get confused. Remember that there is a difference between day and night wear. Wearing a dark or pronounced shade of lipstick is fine during the night, when the darker lighting will soften your appearance. During the day, consider using a tinted glaze or a natural color, such as a pink instead of a red. Avoid corals as this can often be very harsh on people and almost too bright. Also remember to blot your lipstick. This will help to remove any extra lipstick you have on your lips and it will help to prevent you from leaving lip stains on everything you kiss or take a sip from.

Well, this has been your basic make-up lesson. Tune in later as we discuss evening make-up and how to get the best look there, the proper use of lip liner and how to use eye liner! Have fun and enjoy!

The Men’s Ball Chain Necklace is Still In! (Not Just for Surfers and Damn-Bros!)

November 5, 2010 by IamMoody

I have chosen to use a picture of myself in this article because I happen to be wearing a men’s ball chain necklace and I am not a surfer, a skater or a damn-bro (a term coined after all of those Southern Cali dudes who always say something like, “Damn, bro!”). However, the point that I am trying to make here is that ball chain necklaces are a really inexpensive add-on that nearly any guy on the planet earth can easily afford – they tend to cost about ten bucks or so at most retail stores – and they offer some easy fashion staples.

Notice the tight couture and neckline of the light pastel blue Jimi Hendrix t-shirt that I am wearing. See how the ball chain necklace hugs to my neck and does not distract the eyes from the awesome offerings of my shirt; which I just love. That’s the whole point of these necklaces: To really outline your neck, drawing in the details of your top while highlighting your facial features, so that you really look saucy. Most people size up another person by either looking at them from head to too – up to down – or by toe to head – down to up – with their eyes when they are getting a first impression.

That being said, a men’s ball chain necklace can easily become an affordable fashion superlative for all of you guys out there that are looking for that last tasty accessory to add to the mix. I love wearing these necklaces, and certainly I have plenty of others. But I often find myself leaning towards this easy, clasp-it-and-go ball chain necklace because of the many fashion properties it adds, in an instant, to my appearance. That and if you misplace it, who really cares? You are only out about ten bucks.

Scents to Attract, NOT Detract!

November 1, 2010 by IamMoody

Pink Spray BottleWomen and men love spray on scents. This can include cologne, perfume or body sprays. No matter what type of spray is used, there is a proper and an improper way to apply the fragrances. It is not so much the scent that is used, that can attract or detract a person, but rather how it is used. So long as the wearer thinks it smells good, most other people will think the same thing.

There is often a misconception that that a person has to use a lot of perfume or scent in order for people to notice it or for the fragrance to last all night. However, this misconception is often the first mistake that people make. Instead of the perfume or scent attracting people all night, it will scare people away all night. A small amount of perfume will last for hours on end. Too much perfume and people just wonder what you are attempting to hide. This could be a skipped shower or a heavy alcohol problem.

Another major problem is when people spray the scent on their clothing, rather than their body. Yes, this has the advantage of it being released every time the outfit moves, but it was not designed to be sprayed on the clothing. Often, the oils in the scents as well as the dyes used to give it color will stain the fabric. This can ruin an outfit. In addition, since the clothing has so much air circulating around it and no heat or moisture to speak of, the perfume dries very quickly, making it so a person has to regularly reapply it.

Flower And GirlWhen applying perfume, there is a single proper way to apply it to ensure a light, but lasting scent. This method is simple, effective and saves a lot on perfume. Simply spray one wrist with one squirt of perfume and rub the other wrist against it for one second. Then rub both wrists against the neck, right under the jaw line. Reapply the perfume to one wrist and rub the wrists together again. This will ensure that perfume is applied to areas of the body that have a lot of blood flow which will heat the perfume, creating a warm and light scent all night. Do not use your hands to apply to apply the perfume as it can then stick to your hands and flavor your food or drink.

BottleNow men, this also goes for you. Often you men purchase those spray on “deodorants” that are supposed to attract women. You know, the Axe and the Tag body sprays. Lighter is better than heavier. Please. We like the way your men smell, please do not go over board on the body sprays. It will not attract more women, but rather push them away, just as too much perfume on a girl pushes people away. You are not exempt here. 1 swipe across the body, not 2 and certainly one 3 swipes.
