Staying Healthy During Spring Break

Spring break is upon us all, and with does arrive many caveats for college students around the world. Cancun, Mexico happens to be one of the prime destinations for spring break goers in the US, and many college students will find themselves spellbound as they engage in the partying that is tantamount to this break that takes place to separate the first and second semesters of the college year. Many of those who are enjoying a spring break will find themselves soaking up the sun, drinking like there is no tomorrow and generally partying, dancing and enjoying fatty and calorie-rich foods like they are going out of style.

This is all in good fun, of course. But come the end of this two week break period, it’s not uncommon for college students to feel the brunt of their two week party endeavors. While a jovial time for them, the detoxification period post spring break can be harsh. However, it doesn’t have to necessarily be this way. Here are some really easy healthy spring break tips that can allow for you to avoid this conundrum when your break has ended and it’s time to hit the books again.

1. Swear an oath to sunscreen. Sunburn is one of the top ailments post spring break. So dab on ample amounts of SPF 30 before you head to the beach – and make sure to reapply it every four hours or so.
2. Drink plenty of water. A good rule of thumb for avoiding a hangover or moderate alcohol poisoning is to match every drink or shot that you consume with 8 ounces of water.
3. Get plenty of sleep. Make sure you are not partying until the wee hours of morning and then doing it all over again on two hours of sleep. Get your beauty sleep in; your body, mind and skin will thank you.
4. Eat healthier meals to balance toxin intake. Cheeseburgers for lunch is okay, but make sure to balance that out with a hearty and wholesome dinner, too.
5. Use natural detox supplements to cleanse your body. Look into natural detox supplements like Goldenseal, which you can take in capsule form and that you can find at most natural health stores for pretty cheap.

Five Easy Ways to Balance Detox in the New Year

With the onset of the New Year arrives our New Year’s Resolutions. For many of us, there will be tons of different goals that we have set that we aim to pursue during this New Year, and many of us will wholeheartedly strive to achieve them. A few of the top New Year’s Resolutions include weight loss, quitting smoking, eating healthier foods, improving skincare regiments, and bettering ourselves personally, physically, spiritually and mentally. One great way to get started on this path to newly found enlightenment is by detoxing from all of those toxins that your body has built up over the year prior. This list of easy ways to detox can help you more easily achieve your personal goals and aspirations for 2011.

1. Religiously drink water. Water is not only great for you, but you should be drinking your weight, in ounces, daily. This can help to purge toxins from your body, improve weight loss efforts and help you along the way.
2. Check out spa body wraps for improved weight loss and detoxification. There are many different body wraps that you can get that can greatly speed up your detoxification efforts, and many aid in weight loss, too.
3. Time to get back to the gym. Most people take a break from working out and from the gym over the holidays. Start back up slow, and work your way into a solid regiment once again.
4. Eat more vegetables. Your parents always encouraged you to do so, now you have to be the boss with the whip. Eat your greens; they help you detox, they are loaded with good stuff and rich with antioxidants.
5. Look into yoga and fitness classes. If the gym is not your friend, check out some dance fitness classes or yoga classes. They are both excellent ways to drop the pounds and detox.

Affordable Age-Defying Tips for Men & Women

The reality is that we all will grow older. That’s just part of life. However, this does not necessarily mean that we can’t feel like we are younger – or look like it – as we age. Thank goodness there is a plethora of excellent ways that we can retain our youth these days, and no, I am not talking about plastic surgery or anything drastic like that whatsoever. What I am talking about are some simple and surefire age defying tips that men and women can use (and are using), which can easily help you to turn back that aging clock in your youthful favor. To better apprise you of where I am coming from, allow for me to divulge some tips about anti aging that can come in handy for nearly anyone and everyone.

Eat an antioxidant rich diet. You are what you eat, plain and simple. The best way to ensure that the oxygen we are breathing to sustain life has minimal impact on the aging process is by incorporating antioxidant rich foods or supplements into our daily diet. This is so easy during the modern day and age in which we live. Simply look online for such supplements and you will be wowed.

Take better care of your skin. Skin care is essential if you really want to retain your youth. As we grow older the amount of collagen – what makes are skin supple and youthful – that our bodies produce diminishes. However, certain skin creams and supplements can boost it back up again, naturally.

Detoxify regularly. Over the years we grow older we will ingest and breathe in a myriad of toxins. This can really speed up the aging process. The quick solution: Detoxification. You can achieve this by using colon cleanses, or full body cleanses that will eradicate any impurities in your system.
